KERSHAW COUNTY, S.C. — The Kershaw County community is mourning the tragic loss of 19-year-old Kade M. Hinson, who passed away Friday night following a single-vehicle crash.

According to Master Trooper William Bennett of the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred just before 10 p.m. on Pine Tree Lane near Payne Pond Road, north of Camden. Authorities reported that Kade was driving a 2011 Hyundai sedan westbound on Payne Pond Road when the vehicle ran off the right side of the road near Pine Tree Lane and collided with a tree.

Kade was the only occupant of the vehicle and passed away at the scene. Kershaw County Coroner David West confirmed his identity. The crash remains under investigation as troopers work to determine the circumstances that led to the fatal incident.

Family, friends, and community members are grappling with the sudden loss of a young life full of promise. Kade is remembered as a vibrant member of the community whose passing has left a deep impact on those who knew him. Authorities continue to urge drivers to exercise caution, particularly on rural roads during nighttime hours.
