MARIANNA, Fla. — The Marianna Police Department continues to investigate a deadly shooting that occurred on December 14, 2025, at the Gibbs Apartment Complex, 2933 Milton Avenue. Officers responded at approximately 5:20 p.m. to a report of a person shot multiple times. Despite efforts to render lifesaving aid, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Gary Jerome Davis Jr., of Greenwood, Florida. Next of kin have been notified.
As part of the investigation, authorities took Jashawn Arthur Jones into custody. Jones made his first appearance before a judge and was assigned a $25,000 bond. He faces charges of Accessory After the Fact to Murder under Florida Statute 777.03(2)(b).
Investigators have identified an additional suspect believed to be directly involved in the shooting. The individual’s identity has not been released, and the investigation remains active. Police say additional arrests are expected as detectives continue following multiple leads.
