MOBILE, Ala. — Mobile police have arrested 34-year-old Justin Keith McGowan of Wilmer in connection with the fatal stabbing of his father early Tuesday morning on Forest Park Drive.

Authorities identified the victim as 57-year-old Ronald McGowan. According to police, the incident occurred during an argument that escalated into a physical struggle, resulting in the stabbing. Justin McGowan sustained minor injuries during the altercation and was treated at a local hospital. He was later booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail on a murder charge. Jail records indicate he has a bond hearing scheduled for Wednesday.

Police responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 2:12 a.m. in the 5400 block of Forest Park Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Ronald McGowan deceased inside the home. Investigators confirmed that the suspect was a known male family member who stabbed the victim during a struggle following the argument.
