SHREVEPORT, La. — A Shreveport community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of a 14-year-old girl who was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Hearne Avenue earlier this week.
Authorities identified the victim as Cali Agent, who was hit by a car Monday evening, Dec. 15, near the intersection of Hearne Avenue and Regent Street, just south of Interstate 20 in the city’s Midway area. Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene around 5:30 p.m.

According to the Shreveport Police Department, Cali suffered life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the hospital. Despite lifesaving efforts, she later died from her injuries at approximately 6:04 p.m. The Caddo Parish Coroner’s Office has been notified.
At least six medical units with the Shreveport Fire Department and approximately eight police units responded to the scene. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
Cali’s mother, Autumn Cherie Agent, shared that her daughter had just turned 14 two weeks before her death. Cali was an honors student in the eighth grade at Magnolia School of Excellence. She was lovingly known by the nickname “Kitty” and was described as a bright, kind-hearted girl with a deep love for animals, especially cats. She was also a big fan of KPop Demon Hunters.
Friends, family members, and classmates are remembering Cali as a joyful young girl whose life was cut tragically short. Her death has left an immeasurable void in the lives of those who knew and loved her.
As the investigation continues, the community is coming together in prayer and remembrance, holding Cali’s family close during this unimaginably difficult time.
