ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The St. Louis community is mourning the death of a woman identified as Precious, who was killed early Sunday morning, Dec. 21, following a police chase that ended in a serious crash.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the incident began in Fairmont City, Illinois, when officers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding. Precious initially pulled over but then suddenly sped off, dragging an officer several feet in the process. The injured officer was rushed to the hospital and is expected to recover; officials confirmed the injuries were not life-threatening.


The pursuit continued into St. Louis, eventually ending in a crash on I-70 westbound near West Florissant Avenue. The crash caused major traffic disruptions, leading authorities to shut down and divert traffic in the area for several hours.

Tragically, Precious was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Friends, family, and the St. Louis community are left grappling with the sudden and heartbreaking loss, remembering Precious as a valued member of the community.
