MADISON, Tenn. — The Madison community is grieving following the tragic death of 23-year-old Aubrey Bellamy, who was fatally shot inside an apartment Saturday night, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD).

Officers responded to an apartment complex on Skyline Ridge Drive at 7:20 p.m. for reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Bellamy suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. Despite efforts to save him, Bellamy was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities reported that Bellamy had been involved in an altercation with two other men inside the apartment before the shooting occurred. At this time, no details about the suspects have been released.

Metro Nashville Police are urging anyone with information regarding the shooting to contact Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463. Callers may remain anonymous and could qualify for a cash reward.
