Lineville, Alabama — The Lineville community is mourning the tragic loss of Skylar C. Glenn, 27, whose life was cut short in a devastating motor-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the fatal crash occurred at approximately 6:51 a.m. on Sunday, December 21, on U.S. Highway 431 near the 213 mile marker, approximately eight miles southwest of Heflin in Cleburne County.

Skylar was a passenger in a 2013 Honda CR-V when the vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with a 2006 Chrysler PT Cruiser driven by Jerre L. Dingler, 83, of Delta. Authorities confirmed that Skylar was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash and suffered fatal injuries, being pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Honda, Destinee S. Easterwood, 29, of Delta, was injured and transported to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for medical treatment. Dingler also suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Skylar C. Glenn was deeply loved by family and friends in Lineville and beyond. Their passing has left a profound void in the hearts of those who knew them. Skylar’s life, though far too short, will be remembered for the love shared, the memories created, and the lasting impact left behind.
