MORGAN COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Department of Public Safety (GSP) has identified the two men killed in a single-vehicle crash on Greensboro Road on Sunday, December 21 as Diego Solis, 20, and Nickolas Jackson, 19.

Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 2:53 a.m. after a GMC truck left the roadway, traveling east on Greensboro Road. Authorities reported that the truck went off the north shoulder, down an embankment, and struck multiple trees. The vehicle’s roof hit two trees before crashing head-on into another tree, which brought the truck to a stop.

GSP said the front passenger was able to exit the vehicle and was unharmed, while the driver, Diego Solis, and a rear-seat passenger, Nickolas Jackson, were fatally injured at the scene.

On Sunday evening, GSP confirmed that alcohol was determined to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.

The sudden deaths of Solis and Jackson have left family, friends, and the Morgan County community devastated. Both young men were full of potential, and their loss is a heartbreaking reminder of the dangers on the road.

May Diego Solis and Nickolas Jackson rest in eternal peace, and may their families and loved ones find strength and comfort during this difficult time.
