MOBILE, Ala. — The Mobile community is mourning the tragic and sudden loss of Ronald McGowan, 57, who was fatally stabbed early Tuesday morning at his home on Forest Park Drive.
According to authorities, police responded at approximately 2:12 a.m. to a report of a stabbing in the 5400 block of Forest Park Drive. Upon arrival, officers found Ronald McGowan deceased inside the home. Investigators determined that the stabbing occurred during an argument with a known male family member.
The suspect, 34-year-old Justin Keith McGowan of Wilmer, sustained minor injuries during the altercation and was treated at a local hospital. He was later arrested and booked into the Mobile County Metro Jail on a murder charge. A bond hearing for Justin McGowan is scheduled for Wednesday.
