The Meridianville community is grieving the sudden and tragic death of Tracy Gamble, 54, who lost his life Tuesday evening in a crash on U.S. 231 near Dayton-Freeman Boulevard, just north of Meridianville. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, Gamble was driving an SUV when it collided with a tractor-trailer operated by a man from Helena.

Gamble was rushed to Huntsville Hospital following the collision but was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Authorities report that both the Helena driver and a passenger in Gamble’s SUV sustained injuries and were also transported to Huntsville Hospital for treatment.
