HUNTSVILLE, Ala.- The Huntsville community is grieving the tragic loss of 65-year-old Steven Fiorino, who died Thursday following a two-vehicle crash on HWY 431 S.

According to Don Webster with HEMSI, the crash occurred near 5315 HWY 431 S, close to Dug Hill and Cove Creek Drive. Authorities report that Fiorino, driving south, crossed over the middle lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. Fiorino was pronounced dead at the scene.

Madison County Coroner Tyler Berryhill confirmed Fiorino’s identity, describing the incident as a sudden and heartbreaking loss for his family, friends, and the Huntsville community. The driver of the second vehicle sustained injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where their condition remains under observation.

Family, friends, and neighbors are remembering Fiorino for his contributions to the community and the warmth he shared with those around him. The tragic crash has left a profound impact on those who knew him, and thoughts and prayers are being extended to all affected by this devastating event.
